2008 Chinese Language & Culture Seminar
Led by Bruce Lindberg (Headmaster, Lee Academy) and Donglin Zhang (Associate Professor, University of Maine)
---How to do business successfully in China, China's landscape and architecture, basic knowledge and teaching strategies for Chinese language, Chinese philosophies and today's China, practical Chinese culture, starting a Chinese program in a school, how to go to China to teach English and obtain a Maine certificate in teaching Chinese and 2009 trip to China.

The primary audience for the seminar is any one who is interested in Chinese language and culture.
"China, in particular," Gov. John Baldacci noted two years ago, "is an important nation to understand. It is an ever-emerging economic player, even as its culture - with thousands of years of history - is transforming as a result." Therefore Chinese language and culture are essential for understand China and expanding Maine into the global community. The Seminar is all about Chinese language and culture. You will meet our speakers, six professors and several of eight (8) guest Chinese teachers who came to Maine this year; an authentic Chinese lunch for all attendees. This will be a very enjoyable day!
