Course Description
The purpose of this is to offer an opportunity for Chinese language teachers to enhance their Chinese teaching skills in Modern Standard Chinese (Mandarin).
Simplified reading and writing characters will be introduced and practiced. Emphasis will placed on standard
pronunciation, vocabulary, sentence structure, grammar, classroom activities & other basic skills.
Course Objectives
Pinyin systems
Mastery of 400 Chinese Characters
Basic skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing
classroom activities: students have fun learning the language
Introduction in Chinese culture

Location
Small Group sessions will be at Husson College.
CEUs & Certificate
University of Maine or Husson College will issue 5 CEUs and the Bangor Chinese School will issue a certificate to students who
successfully complete the course.
